Sustainability: The Ethics of Elegance

At Atcraft, we believe that true luxury is responsible. As a brand with a 35-year legacy, we don’t just design for today; we design for the generations to come. Our commitment to sustainability is woven into the very fabric of our manufacturing process, from the materials we source to the longevity of the products we create.

We believe that Timelessness is the ultimate form of Sustainability.

The Infinite Lifecycle of Brass

The heart of Atcraft’s collections—including our Legacy and Aura ranges—is Pure Brass.

  • Naturally Recyclable: Brass is one of the most recycled metals in the world. It can be recycled infinitely without losing its chemical or physical properties, significantly reducing the need for new mining.
  • Responsible Sourcing: We prioritize ethically sourced raw materials, ensuring that our supply chain reflects our commitment to the environment.

Longevity as a Green Practice

The modern "throwaway" culture is the enemy of the environment. Atcraft combats this by engineering hardware that is built to last a lifetime.

  • Built to Last: By focusing on high-grade materials and precision engineering, we ensure that an Atcraft handle performs flawlessly for decades.
  • Reducing Waste: Every handle that stays on a door for 20+ years is a handle that doesn't end up in a landfill. Our quality is our contribution to a more sustainable world.

Our Circular Philosophy

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.
At Atcraft, we craft with the future in mind, ensuring that beauty today does not come at the cost of tomorrow."

Clean Technology: PVD Finishes

Our commitment to the planet extends to how we color and protect our products.

  • Eco-Friendly Coating: We utilize PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) for many of our signature finishes. Unlike traditional electroplating, PVD is a dry, clean process that produces no hazardous waste, consumes less energy, and releases no harmful chemicals into the environment.
  • Durability: PVD finishes are incredibly resistant to wear and tear, ensuring the product looks new longer, further extending its lifecycle.

Responsible Manufacturing

Under the guidance of our leadership, the Atcraft production facility is constantly evolving to reduce its ecological footprint.

  • Waste Reduction: We employ advanced machining techniques that minimize metal scrap during production. Any excess material is captured and returned to the foundry for recycling.
  • Energy Efficiency: We are investing in energy-e fficient machinery and lighting throughout our facilities to reduce our carbon footprint.
